ARENERA DEL LITORAL

This case study details "SOLEMATE", a project that began as an exploration into the complexities of e-commerce for high-quality sneakers. Through initial analysis of various e-commerce sites and a deep understanding of market gaps and user needs, our goal was to develop a website that simplifies access to detailed product descriptions, enabling users to make well-informed purchase decisions. This project provided an opportunity to gain experience in e-commerce topics, enhance usability, improve navigation, and ensure a seamless shopping experience. We tackled the frequent challenges of inconsistent and unclear product specifications, aiming to create a more streamlined and user-friendly interface. Our redesigned product information cards feature intuitive icons and detailed specifications, designed to facilitate an effortless journey from the homepage to purchase. From identifying gaps to designing and conducting user testing, we have proactively explored the topic and gained valuable insights. This is just a sneak peek. The full case study, documenting our process and discoveries, will be published soon.

How can digital design help an old-school industry stand out and grow?

THE CHALLENGE

Arenera del Litoral operates in a traditional, old-school industry with minimal digital visibility and a highly diverse customer base — ranging from large construction companies to private individuals, including many with limited digital literacy who often have little understanding of the company and its products. Most customers prefer using WhatsApp to place orders.

The challenge was to bridge the gap between the company and its customers, especially new ones, by creating a landing page that effectively communicates, informs, and guides users toward WhatsApp ordering. Additionally, the company needed a modern, distinctive digital identity that stands out in a conservative market.

THE PROBLEM

CONFUSING PRODUCT INFORMATION

Though the materials are basic, customers struggle to understand available formats and options, and competitor sites are often cluttered, text-heavy, and hard to navigate.

OUTDATED OR NONEXISTENT DIGITAL PRESENCE

Most competitors lack modern websites, making it difficult for users—especially younger generations—to find and trust suppliers.

DIVERSE USERS WITH VARYING NEEDS

The customer base ranges from large companies to individuals with limited digital skills, creating challenges for clear communication and accessibility.

THE SOLUTION

Playlistcheck is a responsive web platform that brings together essential playlist data in a clean, easy-to-read dashboard. A modular card system gives structure to the interface, allowing information to be displayed with clarity, hierarchy, and flexibility.

Built with both usability and scalability in mind, the design simplifies complexity without compromising depth—making the experience smooth for users and efficient for development.

PLAYLIST OVERVIEW

A structured top section presents the playlist’s essentials—type, genres, duration, save count. By organizing key facts upfront, the layout sets the foundation for deeper analysis, reducing cognitive load from the start.

Performance Dashboard

Modular data cards visualize critical performance metrics: follower trends, popularity, update activity, and freshness. Color-coded highlights and strong hierarchy allow fast comparison and instant assessment of playlist health.

EXPANDABLE METRICS

Select data cards include an info icon that reveals additional layers—like follower demographics or engagement context—without disrupting the main layout. This approach maintains a clean interface while allowing deeper insight where it’s most relevant.

Playlist DNA & Behind the Scenes

A radar chart translates sonic traits into a visual fingerprint: danceability, energy, and mood, mapped at a glance. Beneath, featured artists, collaborators, and labels round out the picture, connecting data to real-world influence.

A radar chart gives a quick, visual snapshot of the playlist’s audio traits – like danceability, energy, and mood. Users can also explore featured artists, collaborators, and labels, creating a fuller picture of the playlist’s musical DNA.
